I was looking for where I can have highlights south tampa area as this is where I lived and the problem with me is that the salon I once went to suddenly closed down and they were the only one I trusted with my own hair as I have had bad experiences with other salons in the past and when I found this one I can trust to do my hair, it suddenly closes down. So that really left me with no choice but to do a thorough research, and since I was planning to have a highlight for my hair, or course the option to search online would have to be highlights south tampa and I would prefer a salon near my place, or if they have it, a home service and I am willing to pay up if it means having my hair done really well. And the option I found for this one was called www.tribecasalon.com and I found this was the best in this area and I even saw a post of a friend who was complimenting how good this salon was and how professional and updated the stylists in there were and it would really be a good thing If I can experience that kind of good service. I contacted the site and had a schedule for a home service and I think I am pretty comfortable knowing I have one of the best in this area to service my hair this time around.

Why is nutrition important?
Nutrition is important in our lives for our total well being, both physically and mentally.
We need proper nutrition to maintain our bodies from the tip of our toes to the the top of our head. Everything in our body requires proper nutrition. Our eyes, ears, nose, throat and every other organ in our body depends on nutrition.
Nutrition is the first thing that enters our humanly bodies, when we come into this world. The milk from our mothers breasts immediately nourishes us. It’s a necessity for us to be properly nourished from our birth to our death, however many years that may be.
We need nutrition to rebuild the cells in our bodies, a process that takes place everyday within our bodies.
Nutrition helps keep our immune system intact, a very important part of our survival. When our immune system starts to fail, our whole body is affected. We become more susceptable to all kinds of ailments and illnesses. We don’t have the power to ward off and fight those demons that are attacking our bodies. A well maintained immune system is our defense for our (more…)

The purpose of World Health Day
The purpose of World Health Day is to urge governments, organizations and businesses to share the responsibility for and invest in international health security. On April 7, 2007, various countries are hosting events based on the World Health Day theme, “Invest in health, build a safer future”, which emphasizes the need for collective defenses and shared responsibility for international health security.
To present effective, globally coherent messages, World Health Day activities are purposed around these key messages:
- Threats to health know no borders. Emerging epidemics cross national borders. Threats to health and security are multiplying and moving faster than ever before.
- Invest in health, build a safer future. Every country must invest in health and increase its capacity to prevent threats by strengthening public health systems.
- Health leads to security; insecurity leads to poor health. Protecting health and security requires political commitment and collaboration between governments, international organizations, civil society and the private sector.
- Preparedness and quick response improve international health security. Threats to health security come from emerging diseases like SARS and avian influenza, humanitarian emergencies, and bioterrorism. Defeating these threats involves working collectively to improve preparedness and to respond effectively.
- The World Health Organization (WHO) is making the (more…)

Factors affecting mens health
For many decades, while women’s health issues have received a lot of attention, the response to men’s health issue has been quite the contrary. This is rather an ironic fact given that on average men have a higher risk of preventable death and greater incidence of medical conditions (Roller & Gowan, 2005). In addition, female life expectancy exceeded males by approximately 6 to 7 years (Fletcher, 1993). One major difference between men and women’s health behaviors is the way in which they deal with their health. Women are more upfront and willing to communicate with doctors regarding their health concerns, whereas men are more reluctant to discuss such private matters. Whether such attitude is caused by nurture, societal, or genetic factors, one thing that has become increasingly evident is that there are a wide variety of factors which affect men’s health, and these risk factors are correlated with one another (Roller & Gowan, 2005). Macdonald and Crawford (2002) indicated that factors which affect men’s health also include their health-damaging behaviors and possibly psychosocial issues. Thus, in the 1990s, men’s health gradually became a prominent issue, which was the consequence of increasing concern and health reports that men has poorer health (more…)

The alternative route to better health
Costs, health management organizations, and the increased opportunities in physician care are great reasons to decide on options available in health care. Today, health care and health care options are much more sophisticated than it was thirty years ago. However, many Americans struggle with the ongoing demand of meeting the rising costs of health care. What can we, as a society, do about this? In the United States, there have been many opportunities developed which allow individuals to enjoy a healthy lifestyle while controlling both personal and insurance costs. One of the most effective means is through health education.
Health education provides empowerment, knowledge, and advanced concepts which allow individuals the opportunity to make healthy lifestyle choices and maintain their best overall health. In order to utilize health education as an option, there must be a major focus on one’s own health behavior. Health behavior is a central aspect of health education. Health behavior focuses on those activities and habits of individuals and how these directly influence one’s personal health.
There are many areas of health behavior. Perhaps, one of the most common areas of health behavior is preventive health behavior. Individuals can directly prevent illness simply by participating in activities that (more…)

Finding a solution to our health care crisis
Both Senators Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton propose landmark reform to America’s health care quality, availability and affordability. Senator Obama, at the Democratic debate in Los Angeles on January 31, 2008 stated he felt his and Senator Clinton’s plans were 95% the same. Mrs. Clinton’s plan is a bit more complicated, but tends to offer a more broad-stroke reform than Senator Obama’s plan. The key difference in the two plans is that Senator Clinton’s plan is mandatory; Obama’s plan is not and allows for as many at 15 million uninsured to remain without coverage if they desire.
Mrs. Clinton indicated she has designed a health care reform plan that maximizes choice for people. If individuals or families are satisfied with their current level and cost of health insurance coverage, they may continue with their current plan. For those who are uninsured, underinsured or otherwise not satisfied with their current coverage, she will open the Congressional health care coverage plan to them.
Senator Clinton’s plans lowers costs aggressively, and will provide subsidies and cap premiums so everyone can afford health insurance through the use of health care tax credits. Clinton’s plan will cost approximately $110 billion annually. Her plan to fund her (more…)

How the body heals itself
The body is a self-healer, and what it requires on our part is support and approval to do its healing work easily and quickly.
Our body is coated with every “raw material” needed for its protection, renovation, repair, and healing. When we know how our body works and heals itself, we’d have a rest of mind, even with the knowledge that a paralyzed leg is getting back to normal.
When does the body heal itself?
The body is healing itself every second, but its healing work becomes prominent when our mind and body is at rest, especially during sleep. Also, exercises help circulation, one of the “raw materials” our body needs for its “healing project”.
What to do to quicken the healing process
Get enough sleep and rest. Every part of our body is involved in the healing process, so when we are working, most parts of our body are doing something else, and at such times, the healing process of our body is either very slow or paused.
Rest your mind and your body for the healing process to be more effective and quicker.
Water and nutritious food are also part of the “raw materials” needed for this healing process. Ensure you eat good food (more…)

Should Congress expand existing government health programs to help the uninsured?
As a Certified Professional in Utilization Review, there is no denying that there is a Health Care Crisis in the USA. What Bush has done in vetoing Health Care Insurance for Children and Adolescents of Lower Income Families is a National Disgrace.
When all is said and done, Health Care [at least in America] is not the domain of the state. Even Health Care Systems in China and Vietnam have co payments. Iran has tinkered with the idea of privatising their health care system. Germany has a Public and a Private Tier of Health Care in which the citizen who wants Private Health Care can go see any Health Care Professional they like but cannot return to the Public Health Care System.
The Health Care Crisis in the USA is the fault of those who played a role in it. Certain Health Care Professionals who think with money in their mind and heart abused the system. Politicians who tinkered with Health Care whether they be Republicans, Democrats, or even Independents have tinkered with the system. Pharmaceutical Companies under stress and restrictions with the need to create new products which will be a “cure all” are another cause. Last but not least, those (more…)

HillaryCare and RomneyCare offer variations of a failed health care system
HillaryCare and RomneyCare offer variations of a failed health care system
Senator Hilary Clinton and Governor Mitt Romney offer variations of failed health care systems that need addressing with intelligence. Politicians own drug and insurance companies from both parties and needs reconstruction for the well-being of people especially the elderly.
The health care system has not failed children in need of medical care and vaccines required to enter schools. Romney claims that the republicans solved the problem of health care in the state of Massachusetts by not having the government take it. Reality to Romney’s statement is not true, as elderly in the state of Massachusetts could not receive medical treatment or prescriptions needed due to lack of medical insurance. The Massachusetts plan has limits leaving people without proper care.
Clinton’s health care reform law and Romney Massachusetts reform law mandate universal health care coverage and subsidized health care for people with low incomes. What is not fair is the Clinton plan will increase taxes at higher income levels for people who are on Medicare type plans. Subsidized health care does not cover all issues needed to maintain health of that of the elderly and middle age society and high-income level people should (more…)
